The peer support field is always growing! If you are interested in becoming an MDHHS Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), use this information about the certification process.
Steps to becoming a certified peer recovery coach or support specialist:
- Review the CPSS application linked here. On the very first page of the applications you will find a list of eligibility requirements to be eligible for certification.
- If you meet all of those requirements, complete the application and submit it here: Certification Application Submission – MiPeers
- Once submitted, your application will be reviewed and someone from the MDHHS team will reach out with information on the next steps in the process.
