Recovery Leadership Training

Building practical leadership capacity in recovery communities.
This training is grounded in three core practices that support people in recovery stepping into leadership roles.
Core Leadership Practices:
- Leading with Responsibility: Taking ownership over the results you are creating.
- Self-Reflection & Feedback: Looking internally to examine our contributions, and externally to examine our impact.
- Speaking to the Leader in Everyone: Recognizing and calling forward leadership in others, regardless of role or title.
Participants will:
- Strengthen their ability to take ownership in teams, organizations, and communities, and apply responsibility as a daily practice.
- Understand the necessity of self-reflective practices and possess a framework for powerful feedback conversations.
- Develop a framework for addressing the leadership in everyone and recognize the opportunity this presents to create limitless results.
Eligible for 6.5 continuing education credits.
Coffee and lunch will be served at this training.
Trainer:
Michael King is a leadership development facilitator and coach who works with organizations across the country, primarily in the behavioral health and recovery space. He is the founder of The Communities Project. Through The Communities Project, he designs and leads leadership trainings and cohorts. These trainings and cohorts strengthen individuals and the teams on which they serve, and they provide practical day-to-day leadership practice.

Cancellation Policy: Registrations may be transferred to another employee of the same agency upon written request to registration@mipeers.org. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 12 days prior to the date of the training. Failure to cancel registration within the allotted time will result in registration fees being forfeited. Attendance Policy: You must attend the entire training. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to attend as part of the CE requirements. Breaks are built into the training schedule. Participants who miss more than 10 minutes of the training outside of scheduled breaks will not receive CE credit. Attendees must follow the training guidelines.
