“Mindful eating replaces self-criticism with self-nurturing. It replaces shame with respect for your own inner wisdom.”- Jan Chozen Bays
In this retreat we will combine intuitive eating principles and mindfulness practices to lead us to rediscover our innate pleasure in food, appreciation for our bodies (as they are) and decreased problematic eating behaviors.
By engaging in mindfulness meditation, self-compassion, and gentle yoga, you will learn to listen deeply to the guidance of your body to improve your health and well-being. This non-diet approach to eating advocates acceptance of self and the body as the first step in making changes.
Based on the principles of the Eat for Life mindfulness-based intuitive eating program developed by Lynn Rossy PhD, we will explore practices that have helped hundreds of people in developing a healthier relationship with food and their bodies.
If you’ve been on an endless rollercoaster of yo-yo dieting and self-judgement, it’s time to try a new approach. This all-day retreat will give you the opportunity to try out the skills that can help you develop a more supportive relationship with food and your body through mindfulness and self-compassion.
