Overcoming Limiting Beliefs

So often when we hear the word “belief” we think about religion. The truth is you have beliefs about everything and many of them are limiting beliefs that hold you back from reaching your full potential. This training will help you turn your limiting beliefs upside down so you can be in the driver’s seat of your life. How much more could you do if you weren’t being held back by the past programming of your limiting beliefs? Supercharge your future by overcoming your limiting beliefs now!
Participants will:
- Recognize how limiting beliefs can affect both their own recovery journey and the journeys of the peers they support, and practice strategies to shift them.
- Identify where limiting beliefs often develop and how understanding their origin can foster compassion for themselves and their peers.
- Deepen self-awareness of personal beliefs to strengthen authenticity and effectiveness in peer relationships.
- Explore new perspectives on beliefs that promote hope, possibility, and recovery-oriented thinking.
- Practice asking empowering, respectful questions that help peers examine beliefs without judgment or pressure.
- Experience tools that support belief shifts at a deeper level so they can model resilience and share appropriate strategies with peers.
Trainer:
Chuck Hendrix is a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), Certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner, and a Board-Certified Hypnotherapist. He has been studying personal growth for more than 25 years. He is always developing special trainings to further the impact that CPSS and Recovery Coaches can make with those they work with. Chuck is known for his unique communication style that is both engaging and funny. You won’t want to miss this training.

Cancellation Policy: Registrations may be transferred to another employee of the same agency upon written request to registration@mipeers.org. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 12 days prior to the date of the training. Failure to cancel registration within the allotted time will result in registration fees being forfeited. Attendance Policy: You must attend the entire training. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to attend as part of the CE requirements. Breaks are built into the training schedule. Participants who miss more than 10 minutes of the training outside of scheduled breaks will not receive CE credit. Attendees must follow the training guidelines.
