Description
The Michigan Peer Warmline is for individuals who are not in distress or a suicidal state, but do not have a supportive listening ear which sometimes can cause difficulty coping throughout their day. Often, a warmline is for callers who would benefit from talking to a peer where they can get support from a person who has experienced similar circumstances (i.e.: substance use and mental health difficulties). This workshop will go into detail about the services the warmline provides and the role of the peers that are employed.
