DESCRIPTION:Training Overview: \nIn this training we will investigate what stress is and how it can negatively affect the body and mind. We will consider how stress can lead to physical illness\, anxiety\, and even burnout. We will then shift our attention to proven mindfulness skills to alleviate the debilitating aspects of stress. We will look at how altering our perspective can positively affect our ability to cope. \nMindfulness training has been shown to be one of the most effective ways to reduce distress\, improve the quality of our emotional fitness\, and even alter the structure and function of the brain. \nWhat is Mindfulness? \nMindfulness is the practice of paying attention to our moment-to-moment experience with acceptance and curiosity without resisting it or embellishing it. Much of our stress occurs when we let our minds run on autopilot\, which can lead to rumination and worry.
