DESCRIPTION:Plant the seeds of intention! Explore goal setting and action planning for yourself and those you serve. \nTraining Goals:\n1. Support certified peers in their own goal setting for the new year by developing both personal and professional specific\, measurable\, achievable\, relevant\, and time-bound (SMART) goals.\n2. Equip peers with strategies to help individuals serve in goal setting\, particularly focusing on overcoming common barriers to achieving goals. \nPresented by:\nRodasi Campbell\, Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC)\, RCPF\, ERYT\, is a woman on the path of discovery in recovery from substances\, mental health\, relationships\, and the mind. She has an extensive background in spirituality & health including yogic science\, women’s spirituality and alternative and earth-based spiritualities. Rodasi is a mom\, an author\, and a CPRC trainer for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. \nEligible for 6.5 Virtual MDHHS Continuing Education credits.  \nRegistration: Please register below (on this site) using a credit or debit card\, which is the quickest way to confirm your attendance. \nOnly if you need to pay by check\, please complete this form (click here) and email it to: registration@mipeers.org. Do not use this form if you are paying by credit/debit card. SUMMARY:Recovery Capital – Strengthening Recovery\, Wellness & Connection
DESCRIPTION:This training introduces participants to the concept of recovery capital and how personal\, social\, and community resources can strengthen recovery and overall wellness. Participants will explore the different domains of recovery capital\, identify strengths and gaps\, and develop practical strategies for building supportive resources and connections. \nBy the end of the training\, participants will be able to: \n\nDefine recovery capital and explain its importance in recovery.\nIdentify the major domains of recovery capital.\nAssess personal and community recovery capital strengths and gaps.\nDevelop strategies to increase recovery capital for themselves and those they support.\nCreate an action plan for building recovery-supportive resources.\n\nTrainer: \nPriscilla Shafor (BS\, CADC\, CPRC\, CPRM\, RCP\, RCPF) is a person in long-term recovery with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals impacted by substance use disorders and involvement in the justice system. Her work focuses on expanding access to recovery support and empowering people to make informed choices about their own recovery paths. She is a contracted trainer with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)\, providing continuing education. Priscilla also holds the Recovery Coach Professional Facilitator (RCPF) designation through the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR)\, authorizing her to facilitate CCAR curriculum.
