DESCRIPTION:What is Building Financial Wellness? \nBuilding Financial Wellness is a peer developed\, peer led curriculum designed for individuals with mental health and or substance use challenges. It empowers participants to: \n\nGain control over their personal finances.\nSetting attainable financial goals.\nUsing strengths\, peer support\, and resources.\nBuilding confidence in financial decision making.\n\nDeveloped by Collaborative Supports Programs of New Jersey and the Center on Integrated Healthcare and Self-directed Recovery at the University of Illinois at Chicago\, this program is changing lives and building hope. \nBecome a facilitator! \nAre you a Peer Support Specialist or a Peer Recovery Coach\, enthusiastic about empowering others? Join us for a facilitator training session to learn how to bring this impactful program to your community. \nWho should attend? Peer Support Specialists/Peer Recovery Coaches. \nTraining format: A one-day training designed to equip you with the knowledge\, tools\, and confidence to lead a six-week course in your community. \nSupport: Agencies must support their peers in implementing this program. \nWhy become a facilitator? \n\nHelp individuals develop financial resilience.\nBuild connections through shared experiences.\nBring hope and empowerment to their community.\n\nRegister today! \nApproved for 6.5 Continuing Education credits. \nRegistration for this event will end at 11:59 p.m. on December 8\, 2025. \nCoffee and lunch will be served at this training. \nRegistration: Please register below (on this site) using a credit or debit card\, which is the quickest way to confirm your attendance. ONLY if you need to pay by check\, please complete this form (click here) and email it to: registration@mipeers.org. Do not use this form if you are paying by credit/debit card. Please note that this form takes up to 5 business days for processing\, and registration is not assured until we receive the check\, and you receive a confirmation of your registration. \nCancellation Policy: Registrations may be transferred to another employee of the same agency upon written request to registration@mipeers.org. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 12 days prior to the date of the training. Failure to cancel registration within the allotted time will result in registration fees being forfeited. For questions\, e-mail registration@mipeers.org. \nAttendance Policy: You must attend the entire training. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to attend as part of the CE requirements. Breaks are built into the training schedule. Participants who miss more than 10 minutes of the training outside of scheduled breaks will not receive CE credit. Attendees must follow the training guidelines.
