DESCRIPTION:Crisis Through a Peer Support Lens:\nConnection\, Compassion\, and Care \nAs more peer workers serve in crisis settings roles\, it is vital to understand crisis through a peer lens\, stay rooted in core peer support values and remain anchored in peer support competencies. This training provides information\, skills\, and practical applications that peer workers can use in various crisis settings. \nBy the end of the training\, participants will be able to:\n• Define crisis through a peer support model.\n• Apply core peer support values to crisis situations.\n• Practice trauma-informed responses to reduce traumatization of self and others.\n• Use cultural knowledge to create connections.\n• Develop communication skills to use during crisis situations.\n• Support self and others after a crisis has occurred. \nApproved for 19.5 Continuing Education credits. \nRegistration for this event will end at 11:59 p.m. May 18\, 2025. \nRegistration: Please register below (on this site) using a credit or debit card\, which is the quickest way to confirm your attendance. DESCRIPTION:You and I both know exactly what it feels like to second guess ourselves. Each of you have looked in the mirror and thought less of yourself than you would ever like to admit. That cycle or self-loathing can STOP now if you want it to. Pause for a second\, think about how this year can be different for you if you were more CONFIDENT! In this short\, POWER-PACKED training\, you will be able to make that a reality. \nWhen you register and attend this training\, you will: \n\nLearn how to let go of the past that stops you from being confident.\nSee your future with a new perspective that will raise your confidence.\nHear fifteen tips\, tools\, and tricks that will skyrocket your confidence.\nFeel better about yourself than you ever imagined possible.\n\nTrainer: Chuck Hendrix \nEven though Chuck has spoken before thousands of people\, most people do not know he has struggled with confidence on and off most of his life. From the effects of early childhood trauma and life throwing him some significant curveballs\, Chuck has had to immerse himself in learning about confidence to get to where he is today. Now you can learn what he has learned and glean from both his successes and failures. \nEligible for 4.5 MDHHS Continuing Education credits. This is a virtual training.
