SUMMARY:Dearborn/Detroit- Voices\, Visions and Unusual Beliefs
DESCRIPTION:Participants in this training will learn directly from people who have experienced voices\, visions and unusual beliefs and will come away with strategies and approaches that they can use in work and life! \nThis training is designed for peers who want to explore current research\, innovative strategies\, and supports developed by people with lived experience of hearing voices and/or seeing visions from around the world. \nLearning Objectives: \nParticipants will explore: \n\nHow trauma\, culture and social factors influence voice-hearing.\nCommon myths about voices & visions and how to shift these paradigms.\nA new dialogue framework to discuss non-consensus reality states in a supportive way.\nDozens of real-life strategies that are used by voice-hearers to cope with a distressing experience.\n\nTraining provided by: The Wildflower Alliance. \nEligible for 6.5 MDHHS Continuing Education credits. \nRegistration for this event will end at 11:59 pm on April 21\, 2025. \nRegistration: Please register below (on this site) using a credit or debit card\, which is the quickest way to confirm your attendance. \nONLY if you need to pay by check\, please complete this form (click here) and email it to: registration@mipeers.org. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to attend as part of the CE requirements. Breaks are built into the training schedule.
