This workshop will examine advocacy from a multitude of perspectives.  Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of varying methods and approaches to advocacy. In conjunction to the broad overview perspective, attendees will see examples of how specific individual advocacy actions can have national implications that will benefit hundreds of thousands of people across the nation. This interactive discussion invites attendees to participate at their own comfort level, and they will leave with a comprehensive understanding of the different forms of advocacy, how it has changed, the importance of having your voices heard, and how one person can make a lasting impact on the way people with disabilities are able to live their lives.
